Staff Physical Therapist

Amber Bowman is a staff physical therapist at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Lewes, DE. Amber holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology-Allied Health with a Minor in Psychology from Elizabethtown College. Amber also holds a Master of Science in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science through her investigation of knee injuries at the University of Delaware. Amber then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware, whose graduate school of physical therapy is rated first in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools.”

As a native Delawarean from the Dover area and a frequent visitor to the Delaware beaches, Amber is excited to begin her career with Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Lewes, DE. Amber hopes to advance her sports clinical education while at Premier to continue to provide the best care to her patients. Amber’s interest in sports physical therapy is driven by her passion for the varsity sports she played while at Caesar Rodney High School, which included field hockey and tennis. Amber helped lead the Lady Riders to their first tennis State Championship win in 2011.

Amber enjoys traveling, spending time with family, relaxing on the beach, and attending sporting events throughout the year, particularly the Philadelphia Flyers and the Baltimore Orioles. Amber also has a Border Collie mix named Piper who keeps her active every day. Amber is currently engaged to her high school sweetheart and is looking forward to their wedding in June of 2018.
