Staff Physical Therapist
Kathleen Keegan is a staff physical therapist at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Lewes and Milford, DE. Kathleen graduated summa cum laude from Immaculata University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2014.
Kathleen has a clinical background in working with complex and critically ill patients in both the hospital and the inpatient setting. In acute rehabilitation, she treated patients with a variety of diagnoses including stroke, brain injury, limb amputation and cardiovascular disease. While in the acute care setting, Kathleen served patients undergoing hip and knee arthroplasty prior to transitioning to lead therapist in the cardiac and medical intensive care units. In this setting, Kathleen led multiple early mobility protocols for patients with heart failure. She is excited to apply her knowledge, experience and passion to restoring patients’ mobility to their fullest potential.
Kathleen is originally from northern Delaware and has recently relocated to Lewes, DE with her husband, son, and two dogs. She is eager to service her new community she calls home. She enjoys running, yoga, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
