Staff Physical Therapist
Jake Schur is a staff physical therapist in Dover. Jake completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University in 2015. After finishing his Bachelor’s degree, Jake spent a year as a volunteer firefighter in his hometown before going on to attend Arcadia University. At Arcadia University, Jake earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, where he graduated in January 2019. While attending Arcadia, Jake completed clinical rotations in Cherry Hill, NJ, and Jacksonville, Fl. He also had the opportunity to complete a 10-day clinical rotation at a Pro Bono clinic in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, with Stand 4 Haiti.
While studying at Arcadia, Jake was able to complete a study on shoulder strength testing that is currently under review to be published in Clinical Biomechanics. In addition, he served as his class Alumni Liaison, as well as a biomechanics teaching assistant for students in the classes below him at Arcadia University. As a clinician working in Philadelphia, Jake became a Vestibular-certified Therapist, as he has an interest in working with patients who have had a concussion. In the future, Jake hopes to continue his education by completing a sports residency with Premier, as he hopes to combine that with his experience as a firefighter and work with tactical athletes.
Jake is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, and is excited to join the community in Dover while continuing to cheer on the Eagles, 76ers, Phillies, and of course the Nittany Lions. Besides being a sports fan, in his spare time Jake loves to cook.Back to Staff
