Staff Physical Therapist
Chris Alvarez PT, DPT, MS is a staff physical therapist at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance. He grew up in South Brunswick, New Jersey where he played soccer and basketball. After high school, Chris attended the University of Delaware where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.
Chris went on to work as a Medical Assistant for two Orthopedic Surgeons in Northern Delaware where he gained a passion for working with patients with orthopedic injuries. While working as a medical assistant, Chris was accepted to the University of Delaware to pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
While working to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Chris also earned his Masters of Science in Anatomy and Clinical Health Science where he studied rotator cuff injuries of the shoulder joint through cadaveric study. During his various clinical rotations, Chris worked with a variety of patients, including sports, general orthopedic, geriatric, and neurological conditions.
Chris currently resides in Bear with his family. He enjoys spending his free time with his girlfriend and family. His favorite hobbies include weightlifting, watching sports, and taking trips to the beach.
