Katie Fulton PT, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist
Katie Fulton is a staff physical therapist at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance. A native Delawarean, she holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware, whose graduate school of physical therapy is rated second in the nation by U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools."
During her studies at the University of Delaware, Fulton was highly involved as a research assistant for Dr. Lynn Snyder-Mackler, PT, ATC, Sc.D, SCS, FAPTA assisting in the collection and analysis of both functional testing and questionnaire data for over 500 subjects related to a randomized clinical trial studying total knee replacement. Fulton is a co-author of the article "Measuring Functional Improvement After Total Knee Arthroplasty Requires Both Performance Based and Patient-Report Assessments" published in the Journal of Arthroplasty in 2010.
Prior to joining Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance, Fulton served as the workers' compensation specialist for an outpatient orthopaedic clinic in Maryland and is credentialed as a Certified Workers' Compensation Healthcare Provider by the International Sports Professionals Association. She is also an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certified clinical instructor and looks forward to sharing her passion for treating patients with students.
Fulton and her husband, Dave are both Middletown High school alumni and reside in Middletown.
