Head Athletic Trainer for Appoquinimink High School
Ben McAndrews MS, ATC, NASM-CES serves as the Head Athletic Trainer for Appoquinimink High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from James Madison University in 2007, and earned his Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2008. During his time at California University of Pennsylvania, Ben also earned the credential of Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Just prior to arriving at Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance, Ben was a resident of Virginia Beach where he was born and raised. Most recently he worked as a Sports Performance Specialist, training athletes of all levels for the purpose of injury prevention and performance enhancement through corrective exercise, mechanics training, physiological testing, and weight training. Ben was also the Head Athletic Trainer for Hampton Roads Piranhas W-League for the 2008 and 2009 seasons, and was the Head Athletic Trainer for York High School in Yorktown, VA from the fall of 2007 to the spring of 2009.
Ben has a passion for working with young student athletes on the field, in the clinic, and in helping maximize their athletic performance through sports performance enhancement programming.
Ben and his wife, Jen, reside in the Dover area.
